I am so excited to bring you this cute yet very easy DIY recycling project, scented hanger pom-pom. I made this pom-pom quite impulsively because I am actually not a big fan of perfumes, but my husband really is. We used to come into little arguments when we did our laundry, because he loves softener, while I do not. The thing is because liquid softener left some spots on our clothes since we used old top loader washing machine which was not compatible for softener appliance. Until he bought these dryer sheets, then everyone is happy :)
While my husband is a fragrance lover, I am a good keeper of things that supposed to be thrown away, one of which is this dryer sheet. The first time I saw it, I just reckoned that it was made of tissue paper, only it was a bit stiffer. But, hey, it smelled nice, why not keep it, I thought. After a few minutes, this pom-pom thing came across my mind so I tried to realize it. It has been a month since I made it but it still does not loose its fragrance. You can try this too as it is super easy. It takes only 10-15 minutes to make one. Happy Friday!

You will probably ask where the koi fish is. Koi is actually the new name of orange color according to Pantone :D. Our best guess why they name it koi would be because it is the color of typical koi fish. Koi is one of Fall 2013 colors, so you might see them more often in the near future.
Today we are trying to combine koi with pastel red, which is more commonly called as pink. Pastel red and Koi are in-between colors and they are still neighbors. As other neighbor colors, red and orange are good friends. Furthermore, we are attempting to match the drawstrings on the blouse and the lapel jacket with scalloped sling bag and frill pointed toe shoes. Last but not least, as koi and pastel red are bright colors, we added neutral brown color for the shorts and the base of the shoes. Other related post: combining Mustard and Royal Blue Hi everyone, how was your weekend?
Thank you so much for stopping by.. We just want to give you a quick hello before this week over :) In this pairing we teamed up several colors, orange-yellow-green-blue. If you remember your school days when you create new colors using watercolor by mixing basic colors, red, yellow and blue, you must get our point. In addition to that, when you see up close, you will find stripes as a connecting pattern here, the pleats on the top and the skirt and the horizontal lines on the skirt and the shoes, besides the blue color. Besides contrast color combination, in this set, we applied a little bit of ethnic to modern outfit. The center piece is actually the ethnic woven skirt, and wooden wedges are perfect partners of any ethnic style looks. Meanwhile, the modern west touch is given to the coat, the blouse and the bag. We don't have a lot of things to say but a wish that you have a fun and magical week ahead :D Have a glance through our previous journal posts if you haven't: Working Out B&W with Emerald Green and Whattowearwith Metallic Shoes. ... to dining.
Our previous posts about emerald green: Emerald and Crocodile Emerald and Tiger Stripes Hello everyone! Hope you have a good start of the week :)
Have you already considered to add metallic to your closet? Our preference goes to shoes more than others, especially pointed shoes and moccasins. These shiny items look excellent when paired with dark and matte materials, such as black leather. Personally we love to combine femininity and masculinity in one outfit, Hence we match up very feminine pointed heels, drawstring bag, and asymmetric skirt with boyish racer back tank and biker jacket. About how to wear metallic with red color, see our previous post For more ideas about whattowearwith emerald see our previous post, 'Emerald Green and Tiger Stripes'
Today we are playing with emerald green, Pantone's color of the year. A painting print jacket paired with a grey plaid shorts. Peach is the connecting color between the two items. It is then combined with a pair of tiger print mocassins which has same characteristics as the jacket and the skirt, elegant and a bit mysterious. Finally, more dashes of emerald color are spread on the sling bag and the simple earrings while more of tiger prints are on the sunglasses and the ring.
Happy hunting emeralds! :) Hello to all of you!
