Hello everyone!
It has been raining since yesterday here. Luckily today is still a day off for me, yes because we celebrate Australia Day! Happy Australia Day to all Australians and anyone reside in Australia :) You had great times partying and having barbies with friends and family, didn't you? Anyway, have a me time at home today, before going back to your normal activities. Grab a cup of coffee or tea with some pieces of biscuits while reading a book or watching a movie. Otherwise spend this all day sleeping, declare yourself as a sleeping beauty today! haha.. Just stay at home and enjoy the raindrops behind the windows. I love the sound of water hitting the ground and the smell of wet soil. However, if you should go outside, do not forget to bring an umbrella with you! You don't want to get wet, do you? Most of us hate going out on rainy days, but mostly we do not have a choice. Why not brighten up your days with a gorgeous umbrella? Having a cute one is good to my mood to face the weather. I had a light blue umbrella with tiny white polka dots but she is now broken :( (Yayy, it is time for umbrella shopping!) Some tips before you go and grab a fancy umbrella: 1. Do not be too furious then put your choice in the most eye-catching one. 2. Choose the strong one, especially if you have heavy rain in your area. 3. Consider to match the umbrella with your closet. If you have rich colors in your closet, then it is fine to buy the colorful one. But for me, neutral colors such as black, white, grey, brown and beige would be good alternatives for an umbrella as they are easy to match with almost anything. 4. Consider the occasions you will attend. If you use your umbrella for going to work, it is better not to buy an umbrella with eyelashes and lips (like below), unless you want to ruin your whole professional looks. (It would be difficult to hide your umbrella too :P) SHOP SMART! love from me and my sister.. Hey, are you familiar with these rolls? Lately I realized that I use more or less a roll of toilet paper a day even though it is only my husband and me who are using it. I thought they maybe can be recycled to be something more fun rather than just ended up in a bin. So I am now creating a better fate for these rolls, guess what?!
Having lunch is good for refreshing your mind and recharging your energy. Wake up from your seat and grab a delicious lunch! I made my first homemade beef and corn tacos! I want to share it with my sister, but you know she is miles away..
This morning after breakfast, as usual I was going to steal a glance on this blog - well, I was supposed to be studying. Then.. surprise.. I saw the above happy birthday set in 27 shape posted on the front page. Thank you my dear sister, Hueynie for spending your time between your super busy life; yes she has always been busy since she was in high school I reckon. The second surprise - not really a surprise because I was expecting it LOL, is a bunch of white flowers from my lovely husband. He knows really well that white is always my favourite and how I love flowers more than anything else. I don't know the name of the flowers, I just love them. As you can see in the picture, there are two types of flowers, the first one has been blooming and another one only petals. The florists said that the second one will bloom in a few days. That's cool, isn't it? We will see them blooming.. Thank you my dear.. Thank you God for a great year behind and a chance for seeing more of Your miracles ahead. Have a nice Sunday everyone! This home-made tapioca pearl with melon dessert has brightened my day :)
The original recipe you can find in Steamy Kitchen's website, a home cooking website which recipes I have tried most (yes, and almost all of them!). Jaden is awesome! I cannot help posting this weather report. I am so sorry about that. It is the freaking boiling hot air as it is 45C that cannot stop me telling everybody how hot it is. I am sure sydneysiders know about my feeling since they also cannot help but posting the same thing on facebook. Someone even stated on his status that this is the hottest day in Sydney since 1939! I got a runny nose, maybe my nose is melting. Here in an old train without air conditioner, I have seen another phenomenon, a mom was pouring a bottle of water into the back of her teenage boy. Now you can imagine what I am saying.
It is a time when wearing a short and a tank even too much. I saw a very smart tall girl, she wore a backless leopard tank with jeans shorts, I mean real short! She looked great with a pair of bright pink sandals.. Oh how good she managed the air circulation, I envy her.. I could not taking her picture because my hands was holding some pieces of class handouts and it was really fast. In contrast, in my home country, to be exact in Jakarta, the capital city, there has been flood for the last three days I guess. The swamp is as high as human waist in some areas. I know how inconvenient it is, especially public transport is your main mode of mobility. I feel sorry for all of you who are in Jakarta, hope everything will be fine soon. Hi everyone! please be patient, we are still constructing this 'blog inside a blog'. Considering that we are also still developing the main site, our focus is on that one first. We are trying to make sure that everyone got useful tips on pairing when opening the site. In the mean time, we promise to share about random things happening in our daily life, also things that inspired us that may also inspire you.
