5 WAYS TO WEAR A PEPLUM SKIRT
Peplum has made a come back since 2011 and mushrooms until today. Peplum itself is actually the ruffle that attach to the waistline, not the skirt. Enthusiastic responses toward this trend has given confidence to designers to create more variations of peplum today; from only on dresses, skirts and blouses to on cardigans, jackets, blazers, coats, long skirts and gowns.
Personally we opt for a peplum skirt if we should decide to buy only one item between a dress, a blouse or a skirt. Wearing peplum on a skirt is more practical than on the others. It allows us to mix and match, that consequently makes us able to come out with different outfits from the same item. Meanwhile, not a lot of things we can do with a peplum dress. Why is it more practical compared to a peplum blouse? Having peplum on a blouse, ordinarily means narrower waistline which is not comfortable to wear for some of us who do not have flat tummies. In contrast, the flares on a peplum skirt, to some extent, covers our tummy that will also make us more relaxed while wearing it.

One thing to be noted when choosing a peplum skirt is the cutting, because some get very narrower at the lower line and some are straight. The ones which the lower line's diameters are very narrow will obviously create wider hip and thigh postures. Therefore, if you are avoiding it, try ones that are straight and not made from a very stretch fabrics.
